Lot 143 Walther P.38 'ac 41' 9mm #3793

WWII German Military double action semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm Parabellum, circa 1941. Features a blued finish, 5" barrel, blade front sight, dovetailed rear window sight, thumb safety/decocker, 8 round magazine, smooth trigger, serrated hammer spur, lanyard loop and two piece grooved brown bakelite grips. Pistol retains approximately 80% of it's original high polish blue finish showing handling wear on the front strap, holster wear and minor scratches. Matching serial numbers on barrel,locking block, slide and frame. Markings: Slide- 'P-38' "ac/41", eagle/swastika and eagle/359 marked twice. Frame- eagle/359 "ac" on left triggerguard. Barrel & Barrel Wedge-"ac" eagle/swastika and eagle/359. Magazine- "P38", "ac". Markings are crisp, highlighted in white, action is smooth, bore is very good/bright, strong rifling and the bakelite grips are very good. Comes with correct black leather holster, rear marked with large "P 38", waffenamt "Eagle/WaW101" and makers code "gfg 1943". (Karl Storz, Werkzeugbau) and magazine marked "P-38 ac". A nice early P-38. No importer marks, vet bring-back.
